Our Commitment

CYNSUS exists to make civic information accessible to every citizen — and that includes citizens with disabilities. CYNSUS LLC ("CYNSUS," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to providing a platform that is usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve conformance continuously as the Platform evolves.

Measures We Take

• Semantic HTML and ARIA labeling for interactive components
• Keyboard navigability of core flows (sign-up, search, legislation and officials browsing)
• Support for light and dark themes and adjustable text sizing in AI chat surfaces
• Color choices tested for contrast in both themes
• Alternative text on informative images
• Accessibility review as part of our development process for new features

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the Platform may not yet be fully accessible. Known areas of ongoing work include:

• Interactive maps (district boundary visualizations) may be difficult to use with assistive technology; we work to provide the same information in accessible text form
• Some data-dense tables and charts are being improved for screen-reader navigation
• Third-party content (such as documents hosted by government sources) may not meet our accessibility standards

A formal third-party accessibility audit has not yet been completed; we plan to pursue independent evaluation as the Platform matures.

Compatibility

The Platform is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers and browser zoom up to 200%.
